Open Question: According to my dad these good old days in England were not so good?

my dads a spaniard who came to england in the late 60's when there was a lot of racism, my dad being a spaniard came here with a very respectful manner and good will. at that time the english were starting to settle in spain and so for my dad to be in england compared to the ratio how english in spain it was like 1 for every 20 in spain. the way my dad was treated in the work place was disgusting and the looks he got were rotten offend accompanied by whispers of hate and disgust. my dad actually prefers the youth of today compared to those of his own generation and calls them diverse. he has always rated the northerners as better people and sees them as a different sort my dad also says that now days we have technology that can easy save lives compared to back in the late 60's when things were limited and so because of this he thinks we're living in a better england. what do you think?...
